From Halo Costuming Wiki
[edit] Hi
I'm Deadguy, a Global Moderator on the 405th forums, and one of the folks working on the original draft of the 405th Charter for the 405th Club. I'm a Sysops here now. This Wiki is a separate entity from the 405th Forums, even though both of them tend to work together, and the 405th forums officially created this Wikia.
Halo Costumes are for anyone who wants to take the time to make one. Although membership at the 405th forums is free, it's not required, in any way. It's just sometimes difficult to find things at times, and this Wiki comes in very useful in terms of making information available when and how you need it.
In theory, if other Halo clubs or costumers were to pop up, they'd certainly be welcome to share what's here, and hope they'll bring a little something to the table too. Come to think of it.. that's the same with the 405th forums too for that matter.
Welcome to the Halo Community, I guess.
I'm new to Wiki's and mean you no harm.. even when I spend 8 hours completely revamping a section you started. Give me a little permission and I'll go ahead and keep churning everything up till my boss storms in and I lose all my latest edits. I DID ask before I went ahead and messed everything up though.. Hope I didn't lose anything important. :)
My Xbox Gamertag is: Deadguy71
Just one suggestion for users:
PLEASE use the discussion pages before making any MAJOR changes to content on existing pages, this also includes changing headings or positions of material as well. There's more than just you here, and more than one person working on various pages, it's polite, plus it helps ensure that we're all "on the same page". (plus.. be aware that changing a heading in one place is probably breaking links all over the place. Don't change a heading unless you use the special page (what links here) and are prepared to change all of the links to that heading.

[edit] Youtube stuff
Yes.. I am the Red guy, and a clip from this aired repeatedly on G4tv during the pre-release stuff for Halo 3. I'm told I did the first-ever televised Halo teabag in-costume.. kind of a dubious distinction, to say the least, but still kinda' cool. I was wearing Rob Westerfield's armor, which didn't entirely fit me, so the camera added about 50 pounds because my belt wasn't actually completely formed.
This wasn't TOO bad considering it was pretty much first of a kind, but the editor didn't understand the script. lol
It was supposed to be a standard start, a speeded-up melee, and then every time I touch my visor, it was supposed to enter into "1st person zoom mode". While admiring my flag, I suddenly decide to check on Blue's status.. He's not there, but as I'm looking, you see the pistol get thrown near me. The noise causes me to look down and notice a pistol laying there. As I look, I see my foot, but then notice a second foot which causes me to jump away, and blammo.. I got killed.
Oh well, it's all good!
