Covenant[]
Storyline[]
A religion-based theocracy government used by non-human alien species that grouped together under the leadership of the "Prophets". They worship the the Forerunners, and their primary goal is to trigger the Halo rings to begin what they religeously refer to as "the Great Journey."
A list of the species involved are as follows: (using their "common" names)
- Prophets
- Brutes
- Elites
- Hunters
- Drones
- Jackals
- Grunts
- Engineers
The Elites were part of the Covenant but by the end of the Halo 2 game, they were no longer involved. The Elites joined UNSC forces against both, the Covenant and the Flood. [1]
On this Wikia, the Elites are sometimes referred to as Covenant species, even though their loyalty lies with the UNSC at the end of Halo 2 and during all of Halo 3. They are also more accurately categorized as simply "non-human" or "alien" characters in other areas.
